2008 Bird Cam Timeline



March 3: First falcon sighted at Elk River Station.

March 19: Courting activities observed.

April 23: Female incubated 3 eggs.

April 24: A fourth egg was laid.

May 26: Eggs began to hatch. You could actually hear the young still inside the egg.

May 27: Three eggs hatched.

May 29: The fourth egg does not hatch and was cast aside.

June 12: Eyasses were banded by the Raptor Resource Project. There were 2 males and 1 female. Students at Vandenberg Middle School named the eyasses "Chase", "Bullet" and "Lightening"

Dates to Watch

July 3-10: Juveniles should begin to fledge
