2010 Energy Education in the Classroom details

Receive a $420 scholarship – teachers pay $75

If you are a teacher who lives or teaches in an area served by one of Great River Energy’s 28 member cooperatives, Great River Energy will provide you with a $420 scholarship. Taught by faculty from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, this course is part of the popular Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP), and has received positive feedback from teachers since it began in 1997. The course is limited to 20 teachers on a first-come basis. NOTE: Teachers who teach in schools where there are students whose parents are served by one of Great River Energy’s 28 member cooperatives also would receive the scholarship. Registration deadline extended to July 26
Limited to 20 teachers on a first-come basis
To register, you must:

1) Complete and fax or mail the registration form to:

2) Minnesota teachers must apply for reciprocity by visiting the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Choose University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Apply for reciprocity.

Upon receipt of your registration form, KEEP will send you an e-mail with “Receipt of Registration-Maple Grove 730” in the subject line confirming your registration in the course. If you do not receive this e-mail within a week, please call the KEEP office to make sure that we have received your registration and that you are enrolled in the course.

Please send no money now. A $75 fee will be due at the first class meeting.

About the instructor

Stephen Knudsen has been with KEEP since its inception in 1995. He is a physics teacher at Newman Catholic High School in Wausau, Wisconsin.
