Our Maple Grove, Minnesota headquarters facility was the first building in the state to achieve Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Today’s electric system is a complex, interconnected network of power lines and substations which brings electricity from power plants to you.

We own and operate nine power plants that generate more than 2,500 megawatts of electricity, plus we purchase additional power from several wind farms and other generating facilities.

We take great pride in conducting our business with the highest ethical standards and concern for the environment.

Electricity prices have remained much more stable in the last 20 years than the prices of other fuels such as gasoline, diesel fuel, natural gas and propane.
